3rd Annual BBB is set for Saturday September 7th, 10:30 AM

The route is set for BBB III, a total of 14 miles on the road, a little shorter than in the past. We will have a limited amount of BBB tee shirts available for $12.00- cheap. If you want to reserve a tee shirt contact Tom or Mark, or you can leave a comment below.

The route we will take is almost entirely on neighborhood streets with low traffic volume.

The ride will kick off from downtown Flossmoor at 10:30 AM. Please plan on arriving by 10:00-10:15 so we can get off on time.

The first leg of the crawl will be a 2.9 mile ride through Old Flossmoor and Graymoor in Olympia Fields to Dino's Food and Liquors (a proud sponsor of Flossmoor Baseball) on Ashland Avenue in Chicago Heights. Bloody Marys and mimosa's will be available along with a variety of great American beer.

The longest leg of the ride will follow our stop at Dino's. A 4.1 mile ride through the old streets of Chicago Heights will take us to J' Martin's Tap in Steger for some fruit salad and entertainment. Bob E. Lee and the band will once again rock the house with an acoustic set of classic rock tunes.

Next up a short 1.3 mile ride to Paulie's Pub in South Chicago Heights where Lisa and the staff at Paulie's will have a buffet lunch ready- meatballs, Italian sausage, potato salad and chips. The cost of the lunch is $8.00.

The next stop is riders choice. The next scheduled stop will be the old Chicago Heights Country Club for some cocktails on the veranda. However, if there is enough interest from the riders we will make the short ride to 3 Star Liquors on "The Hill" in Chicago Heights. 3 Star is one of the truly historic and iconic establishments in the south suburbs. We will see how we're doing on time and energy.

After the Country Club or 3 Star we will head back to Flossmoor for a night cap. The band Staff Infection will be on the Flossmoor Fest main stage at 5:00.

We are not raising any money, nor dedicating ourselves to any mission nor trying to achieve some personal fitness level.  We just want to see if we can ride a bike and drink some beers.

As always- we encourage moderate drinking and heavy tipping.

  1. Mark, I have an unofficial group called H-F Bike Fun Strike Force. It has a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/hfbikefun. We did Bastille Day Cake Ride a couple years ago, and produced the Bike the Dixie ride for the village this year. Our members love to bike and drink as separate events, and do back flips for the chance to do both together.

Mind if I promote this to them?
